Job Summary


The Regional Construction Operations Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supporting the successful operations of multiple branches within an assigned region. This role ensures alignment with company strategy and goals across all operational areas including Safety, Quality, Productivity, Growth, and Profitability. The Regional Construction Operations Manager partners closely with Branch Managers and Operational Teams to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience, while also developing and mentoring staff to operate at their highest level.

This position reports to the Director of Construction and collaborates with executive leadership, branch teams, and support departments to achieve organizational success.


Duties and Responsibilities


Regional Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to multiple branches, ensuring alignment with company vision and goals.
  • Partner with Branch Managers to deliver financial and operational success across the region.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Profitability).
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for branch leadership, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a culture of safety throughout all branches; enforce safety policies and training initiatives.
  • Ensure all branches meet or exceed company and regulatory safety standards.

Financial Management

  • Oversee branch-level P&L performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Support annual budget development and monitor adherence to budget goals.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities across the region.

Operational Excellence

  • Evaluate and optimize workflow, equipment utilization, fleet management, and staffing across branches.
  • Ensure contracts are fulfilled to client specifications, within budget, and at company quality standards.
  • Implement consistent operational processes, systems (including ASPIRE), and performance measures across all locations.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of high-quality staff at all levels.
  • Provide coaching, professional development, and performance management for Branch Managers.
  • Promote employee recognition programs that drive engagement and pride in ownership.

Client & Community Relations

  • Maintain key client, vendor, and community relationships within the region.
  • Support customer retention, renewals, and sales growth through operational excellence and service delivery.
  • Represent the company in community and industry events as a regional leader.



Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and hold others accountable.
  • Strong financial and business acumen; proven ability to manage P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software (ASPIRE or similar).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day needs.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive management experience, ideally in multi-unit operations.
  • Landscape services, construction, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence across multiple sites or teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region (up to 50% of the time).
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be physically able to operate power equipment and work in a variety of outdoor conditions.
