Responsibilities
The Communications Project Specialist leads processes related to the intake, planning, and execution of Internal Communications (IC) related projects across the enterprise in alignment with organizational priorities. This role coordinates across internal team members, external vendors and consultants serving as a strategic partner between stakeholders, creative teams, and technology partners.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with demonstrated experience managing communications, marketing, web design, or related projects.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with clear accountability for scope, timelines, and deliverables across varied project types.
  4. Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Proficiency with project management tools and platforms (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent).
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex project information into clear, concise updates for varied audiences.
  7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact timelines or deliverables.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while managing individual workstreams independently.

PREFERRED:
  1. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent (e.g., CAPM, PMI-ACP, Agile/Scrum certification).
  2. Experience in a healthcare, hospital system, or similarly complex regulated organization.
  3. Demonstrated experience coordinating both internal team members and external vendors or consultants across concurrent projects.
  4. Familiarity with internal communications, marketing, or web production workflows and terminology.
  5. Experience supporting or managing digital and web projects, including familiarity with content management systems (CMS) or intranet platforms.
  6. Experience working within a creative or communications team environment.
  7. Familiarity with communications platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.
  8. Exposure to AI or emerging technology tools in a project or workflow context.

9 AM - 5 PM
