Position Overview
The Interior Systems Carpenter will support multiple minor construction task orders at Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field.
This role focuses on high-quality installation of interior finishes, including flooring systems, ceiling tile systems, finish carpentry, and punch-out work.
The ideal candidate is a productive, detail-oriented installer who can work independently or lead small tasks within a multi-trade crew environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install flooring systems including:
    • Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT)
    • Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
    • Carpet Tile
    • Sheet Vinyl
  • Install and repair ACT ceiling systems including:
    • Grid layout and installation
    • Ceiling tile installation
    • Light fixture / diffuser coordination
    • Repairs and replacements
  • Perform finish carpentry tasks including:
    • Baseboard and trim installation
    • Door hardware adjustments
    • Blocking and backing installation
    • Minor drywall patch and finish work
  • Complete punch list and turnover work
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Work safely in occupied and controlled environments
  • Coordinate daily tasks with Superintendent and Multi-Trade Lead

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 3+ years installing commercial flooring systems
  • 3+ years installing ACT ceiling systems
  • Experience performing finish carpentry and punch-out work
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings and layouts
  • Experience working on military bases, hospitals, or schools preferred
