JOB TITLE: Combo/JetterOperator

  • Job Summary


Operates a combination vacuum and water jetting truck to clean and maintain sewer systems, storm drains, pipelines, and related infrastructure. Performs routine equipment inspections, follows safety procedures, and works with crew members to complete maintenance and emergency response assignments efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Operate combination vacuum/jetter equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Clean and clear sewer lines, storm drains, culverts, and pipelines using high-pressure water jetting.
    • Remove debris, sludge, grease, and other obstructions with vacuum equipment.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues or repairs needed.
    • Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures.
    • Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and service documentation.
    • Respond to emergency sewer backups, spills, and utility maintenance calls as required.
    • Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
    Required Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), preferably Class A or B
    • Experience operating combination vacuum/jetter trucks preferred.
    • Knowledge of sewer maintenance, hydro-excavation, or utility construction is a plus.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts when necessary.
    Preferred Skills
    • Understanding of underground utility systems.
    • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
    • Experience with CCTV sewer inspection equipment (preferred).
    • Strong attention to safety and detail.
    Working Conditions

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Work in Construction industry 1 year (Preferred)
  • CDL License-Minimum Class B with a Tanker Endorsement
  • Clean MVR
  • Must pass background and drug screen prior to hire
