Description
The Nexstar Washington, DC Bureau is seeking aContent Producerto develop, produce, and distribute news content for Nexstar's 116 local television stations andtheir streaming CTV platforms, including NewsNation and TheHill.com.
The DC Bureau provides coverage to markets across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Tampa. This position is based one block from the U.S. Capitol and requires daily, in-office work.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and producer with a passion for political and government reporting, and the ability to translate complex developments in Washington into clear, concise, and engaging content for local audiences.
Job Summary
The Content Producer works with the Executive Producer,CTV Host,reporters, photographers, and other newsroom staff to produce, write, edit, and distribute content across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. Responsibilities include live streaming production, news gathering, video editing, and coordination of daily coverage.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
The Content Producer must be able to sit for extended periods, use standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and electronically. The position requires the ability to make independent decisions and work in a collaborative newsroom environment.
Occasional outdoor work may be required in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift and operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Work may occur in varying lighting conditions.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 based upon experience
