The Broadlawns Medical Center campus includes an acute care hospital, primary and specialty care clinics, urgent care and emergency services, lab, radiology, dentistry, inpatient and outpatient mental health, crisis team, and community-based behavioral support services. Hospitalist Physician or NP/PA for Part Time Weekends
Responsible for providing patient care services to Broadlawns Medical Center patients in applicable specialty area as defined by approved clinical privileges.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains clinical skills in applicable specialty.
  • Provides direct service to patients within inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Seeks consultation from other specialties when appropriate.
  • Provides ongoing supervision and consultation to assigned mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students
  • Participates in depaltmental call schedule as assigned.
  • Participates in medical education programs as assigned.
  • Participates in meetings and committees of the Medical Staff as assigned in order to further the mission of the Medical Center.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives for the organization as related to practice.
  • Completion of medical records is accurate, timely, and legible.
  • Clinical practice patterns reveal efficiency of resource management with no departure from established patterns of clinical practice using evidence based medicine when appropriate.
  • Appropriate education of patients and families regarding a documented plan of care.
Schedule:
12 hour Night shift Saturday & Sunday 8P-8A
MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS
  • Current license to practice in the State of Iowa Board certification in applicable specialty within five years of residency training, fellowship ra waiver approved by the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Boof Trustees.
  • 2 years of Internal Medicine Experience
PREFERRED OUALIFICATIONS
Prior practice experience.
