Functional Description

The Sales Solutions Engineer serves as the technical authority during the sales process, bridging customer needs with our engineering and repair capabilities. This role partners closely with Sales, R&D, and Product teams to understand customer challenges, communicate the value of component-level repair solutions, and influence future product and repair development.

Working directly with biomedical engineers, clinical engineering leaders, imaging directors, and healthcare executives, the Sales Solutions Engineer translates technical requirements into practical repair solutions while demonstrating the economic advantages of repair over replacement. This individual also provides strategic market intelligence to help prioritize R&D investments and expand repair capabilities across new healthcare technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate the company's R&D roadmap into customer value by aligning repair capabilities with customer needs and demonstrating repair-versus-replacement economics.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with biomedical engineers, clinical engineering teams, imaging directors, and other healthcare stakeholders to define customer requirements and establish appropriate solution expectations.
  • Serve as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, supporting customer presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and technical discussions.
  • Clearly communicate component-level repair capabilities, technical differentiators, and total cost of ownership benefits to prospective and existing customers.
  • Partner with Sales to develop technical solution strategies that address customer operational and financial objectives.
  • Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to Product Management and R&D, influencing future repair capabilities, device priorities, and product roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to translate customer requirements into actionable development priorities.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of healthcare technology repair methodologies, imaging equipment, and industry trends.
  • Build trusted relationships with clinical engineering professionals by serving as a knowledgeable technical advisor.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), Clinical Engineering, Medical Imaging Service, or biomedical equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated understanding of component-level and board-level electronics repair.
  • Ability to analyze equipment failure data and identify repair opportunities and trends.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare technology lifecycle management and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into engineering or product development initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and R&D organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Biomedical Engineer or Clinical Engineer within a hospital or integrated healthcare system.
  • Experience supporting or managing technical sales, applications engineering, or solution engineering activities.
  • Previous experience as an engineering manager, technical sales manager, or sales manager.
  • Deep understanding of repair-versus-exchange economics within Healthcare Technology Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of common failure modes and repair methodologies for diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with capital medical equipment including ultrasound, patient monitoring, anesthesia, imaging, or other high-value biomedical devices.
  • Experience influencing product strategy or R&D roadmaps based on customer and market feedback.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to executive healthcare leadership, including Directors of Clinical Engineering, Imaging Directors, and Supply Chain leaders.
Environmental and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, for extended periods of time
  • Dexterous ability to manipulate small objects
  • Willing to work standard and non-standard hours as required to support the customers
