A career as a Senior Advisor, Executive Communications within the Governance and Leadership Activation team at National Bank means acting as a strategic advisor to senior executives. Through your strategic mindset, expertise in executive communications and leadership positioning, and ability to navigate complex, high-visibility environments, you will help strengthen alignment between strategy, messaging, and stakeholder engagement. Your impact will be reflected in stronger employee mobilization, enhanced influence with key stakeholders, and an executive presence that supports the organization’s growth ambitions and leadership objectives.

Your role

  • Define and orchestrate the Executive Vice-President's (EVP) strategic narrative, ensuring a consistent, distinctive, and compelling articulation of business priorities across all internal and external platforms.
  • Develop executive communications for key business-line leadership forums, ensuring quality, consistency, and impact.
  • Design and execute the EVP’s external positioning strategy to strengthen influence with clients, the market, talent, partners, and other strategic stakeholders, including social media presence.
  • Ensure rigorous governance of all communications and visibility requests, prioritizing opportunities with the greatest strategic value.
  • Advise the EVP on reputation, leadership, and thought-leadership matters to maximize the impact of her interventions and the reach of her messages.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Investor Relations teams to ensure a coordinated executive presence aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.

Our team plays a central role in advancing business-line priorities by ensuring alignment between strategy, leadership, and execution for the Executive Vice-President. We operate in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-visibility environment where rigour, influence, and strategic judgement are highly valued.

We foster continuous learning through a variety of development opportunities, including experiential learning, curated training resources, and collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the business line’s strategic agenda and collaborate closely with senior executives, Communications teams, and key partners across the Bank. The breadth of the mandate and exposure to high-profile initiatives will allow you to deepen your impact, sharpen your strategic judgement, and gain a strong understanding of the levers that drive organizational growth, leadership, and market presence.

Prerequisites:

  • Significant experience in strategy, executive communications, executive positioning, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive writing, strategic narrative development, and communicating complex business issues.

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry or experience in a comparable environment is an asset.
