Job Description The Role: Executive Assistant to CEO (Contract) Location: San Francisco, CA Schedule: Monday-Saturday, onsite, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM PT Compensation: $65-$75/hour + overtime Industry: AI startup About the Opportunity: A highly dynamic, technology-focused company is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support its Founder/CEO on a temporary basis. This is a high-intensity opportunity for a highly capable EA who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments and can operate as a true extension of a founder. The CEO moves quickly, operates with a high degree of urgency, and requires an EA who can keep pace, anticipate needs, and bring structure to an environment where priorities can change by the hour.

This person will play a critical role in protecting the CEO's time, translating ideas and priorities into action, and ensuring that important details and follow-ups never fall through the cracks. This is not a traditional calendar-management role. The ideal candidate will bring strong business judgment, exceptional instincts, and the confidence to independently make decisions, solve problems, and respectfully push back when appropriate.

The Day-to-Day: Serve as a trusted partner and extension of the CEO, helping translate high-level priorities and ideas into action Own and strategically manage a complex, constantly evolving executive calendar Anticipate scheduling conflicts, shifting priorities, and upcoming needs before they become issues Prepare the CEO for meetings, helping prioritize commitments and maximize time spent on high-impact work Act as a thoughtful gatekeeper and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders Coordinate high-priority projects, action items, and follow-ups to ensure momentum and accountability Operate with significant autonomy, determining the best path forward when there is no established playbook Conduct research on people, companies, technologies, and relevant topics to support the CEO's decision-making Identify opportunities to improve the CEO's workflow, processes, and overall effectiveness What We're Looking For: Proven experience directly supporting a Founder, CEO, or senior executive in a high-growth environment Experience within a startup, AI-native, technology, or similarly fast-paced organization Strategic, sophisticated calendar management skills with a strong understanding of how to optimize an executive's time Excellent business judgment and the confidence to make decisions independently Genuine fluency and curiosity around the AI and broader technology landscape; technical expertise is not required A naturally scrappy, resourceful mindset and willingness to figure things out rather than wait for direction Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with executives, investors, partners, and other senior stakeholders High emotional intelligence and strong instincts around when to listen, act, escalate, or challenge Comfort with ambiguity, rapidly changing priorities, and an extremely fast pace Ability to work the required 996 schedule Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
