Overview

Pantera Capital is the first institutional investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States when bitcoin was at $65 /BTC in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $5.0bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem.

We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Managing Partner. The position is full-time and based in our San Juan and Dorado Beach offices. This role requires presence in the office at least four days per week and every day that Managing Partner is in that office.

The Managing Partner splits his time between Pantera's office roughly:

  • San Juan 60%
  • New York City 20%
  • San Francisco 10%
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from University of Puerto Rico or a university in the mainland required
  • Experience supporting C-level executives preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaker preferred
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with impeccable attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, with ability to convey information clearly and professionally
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotionally mature, and able to build relationships
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage a complex calendar, prioritizing and optimizing the Managing Partner’s time
  • Act as a gracious gatekeeper to ensure the Managing Partner’s time is spent on his most impactful issues
  • Transcribing meeting notes and executing follow-ups
  • Daily preparation for all meetings and events
  • Physical and electronic file organization
  • Support key communication for Managing Partner
  • Execute Microsoft Outlook Tasks on behalf of Managing Partner to track plans and outcomes to completion
  • Collaborate effectively and form strong partnerships with the administrative team
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and personal requests (reservations, research, purchases)
  • Manage the office in Edificio El Caribe
  • Ground Transportation in Puerto Rico
  • Manage a local Personal Assistant who is responsible for things like:
    • Medical appointments
    • Local vehicle insurance, registration, and service issues
    • Personal errands
    • Etc.
