Fry Cook

The Fry Cook positions at Popeyesplays a crucial role in ensuring the deliciousness of their menu items. You will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by accurately preparing and cooking food items. Your duties will include managing food inventory, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workstation, following recipes and food safety guidelines, and ensuring that all food items are cooked to perfection. Additionally, you may be required to assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

Fry Cook - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook delicious Popeyes chicken dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and expedite food orders efficiently.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection and meets quality standards.
  • Prepare and season breading mixtures for coating chicken products.
  • Operate and maintain cooking equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring and restocking food supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Popeyes menu items, preparation methods, and portion sizes.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food delivery.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations to meet health and safety standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.
  • Follow established cooking procedures to consistently deliver high-quality food to customers.
  • Monitor and control cooking times to minimize customer wait times and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts

Qualifications and skills

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with Guests and coworkers
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stations
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Demands
