Deployed Support Mid - Pearl Harbor
Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense --Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Role Overview
This position requires providing network technical advice and assistance during the planning and execution phases of deployments or exercises. The role involves coordinating solutions to networking problems and offering direct computer and network support for various systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct computer and network support, including configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange.
  • Assist in developing and executing Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units.
  • Support operational requirements by identifying necessary hardware and software.
  • Submit personnel foreign country clearance requests and obtain necessary visas.
  • Document deployment results and conduct post-deployment reviews with the government.
  • Coordinate the transportation and return of all hardware and software for contingency operations.
Required Qualifications
Education: High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Experience: 4 years of experience in general IT, with a preference for network experience. Experience providing deployed support is necessary.
Technical Skills: IAT level 2 Security+ is required. An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification and an Operating System (OS)/Application Certification (i.e. Microsoft/Cisco) are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is preferred. If not possessed, it must be obtained within 6 months.
