We are seeking an experienced IT integration contractor to assist in the technical planning and execution of a significant corporate acquisition. This is a cross-platform integration project requiring deep expertise in both Google Workspace/Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Office 365 ecosystems. Your role will be to help build plans to bridge two distinct technology stacks, develop a comprehensive migration strategy, and execute a seamless integration of collaboration tools and identity management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Planning

  • Document all Google Workspace configurations
  • Assess Office 365 tenant architecture and integration points in the acquiring organization
  • Identify all data sources, file repositories, email archives, and collaboration spaces that require integration or migration
  • Map user roles, permissions, and access patterns across both organizations

Migration Strategy Development

  • Create detailed technical specifications for identity federation, SSO, and cross-platform authentication
  • Develop rollback plans and risk mitigation strategies

Integration Execution

  • Design and implement file migration strategy between Google Drive and OneDrive/SharePoint
  • Establish directory synchronization and identity management across both platforms (Azure AD, Google Cloud Directory)
  • Configure collaborative scenarios where users from both platforms need to work together

Project Management & Communication

  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation management
  • Create documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for the integrated environment
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for both IT teams on unfamiliar platforms

Knowledge Transfer & Training
