Job description

  • General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Month-End / Year-End Close: Own key segments of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee or assist with bill payments and expense report processing.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform deep-dive reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, intercompany transactions, and credit cards, proactively resolving any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate financial statements, variance analyses, and ad-hoc reports for management.
  • Fixed Assets & Prepaid Expenses: Track, calculate, and record depreciation and amortization schedules.
  • Audit & Compliance: Help prepare documentation and schedules for external audits, as well as tax filings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA Preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) is necessary. Experience with accounting software like NetSuite.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
  • Core Competencies: Attention to detail and high organizational skills.
