Position Summary

The primary function of this new technician position is to operate transmission electron microscope for MTS sample imaging by understanding the layout, structures and process steps, perform automated or manual measurements for critical dimensions and report to customers. Additional functions of this technician position include providing feedback to sample prep team to help improving sample quality, learn new analytical techniques to expand capability, improve output and efficiency for better team throughput and TAT.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Operate TEM tools of various models to provide timely and high quality BF and STEM images.
  • Provide accurate automated or manual measurements of critical dimensions based on customer demands.
  • Learn new techniques, such as EDX mapping, and process knowledge to improve analysis capability and quality.
  • Strive for output and efficiency improvement to help the team achieve TAT and Capa goals.
  • Collaborate closely with prep team to provide feedback for sample quality improvement and coordinate efforts on urgent requests.
  • Compressed Night Shifts: - B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays / D Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.
Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 years college associate degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Operation of SEM or FIB, AMHS system, Semiconductor Failure Analysis. (Preferred but not required)
  • Must be able to work entire 12-hour shift and sit down for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Programming skills are a plus

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $45.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
