Role Overview

  • Partner with clients to define project scope, develop engineering concepts, and prepare accurate cost estimates and proposalsย 
  • Execute detailed electrical engineering designs on single and multi-discipline project teamsย 
  • Design complex industrial electrical systems in compliance with NEC, NFPA, UL, and other applicable regulatory standardsย 
  • Prepare complete construction documents for permitting and bidding, including utility interconnections, power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and fire alarm systemsย 
  • Develop and review one-line diagrams, motor load lists, electrical plan views, termination schedules, and panel schedulesย 
  • Specify, size, and select electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, cables, and protective devicesย 
  • Design and coordinate electrical protection schemes, including overcurrent protection and protective relay settingsย 
  • Perform and oversee field site visits, construction observation, commissioning support, and system troubleshootingย 
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure client satisfaction and business objectives are metย 
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level electrical engineers and designersย 
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, as required by project needsย 

Requirements

Educationย 

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering; industrial electrical design experience requiredย 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent experience)ย 

Experience

  • Preferred industry experience includes Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Renewable Energy, Gas Processing, Chemical, Power, Waste Management, or Pharmaceutical facilitiesย 
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, and other applicable standardsย 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan Electric P8ย 
  • Proficiency in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Powerworld or other similar power system modeling softwareย 
  • Experience with SEL Accelerator software, SEL RTAC and SEL Relaysย 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure within one yearย 
  • Strong knowledge of MS Officeย
