What You'll Do

  • Manage commercial HVAC construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Review HVAC plans, mechanical drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Coordinate HVAC installation with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other trades.
  • Manage the installation of commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, AHUs, chillers, split systems, VRF/VRV, ductwork, piping, pumps, controls, and related equipment.
  • Monitor project costs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Track project progress and address scheduling, manpower, material, and installation issues.
  • Coordinate HVAC equipment and material procurement and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Identify scope changes and work with customers and contractors on change-order pricing and approvals.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate startup, commissioning, inspections, punch-list completion, and project turnover.
  • Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress, budget, schedule, and potential risks.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to contract requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical construction, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and construction practices.
  • Experience managing HVAC projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, HVAC drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules.
  • Experience managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and field personnel.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction processes, mechanical codes, safety requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Construction/project management software experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field is preferred but not required with strong relevant experience.
  • PMP, CAPM or other project management certification is a plus.
