It involves creating templates and worksheets for tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting. Excel is popular in accounting due to its flexibility, powerful calculation functions, and ability to generate charts and reports. However, it may lack some of the automation and security features of dedicated accounting software. Many small businesses use Excel accounting for its cost-effectiveness and customization options.
