SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking skilledMass Excavator Operators to operate large excavators on heavycivil, mining, and largescale construction projects. This position involves highproduction digging, trenching, and site preparation, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and equipment maintenance. The project areas for this position are in the Hagerstown, Frederick, Winchester, and surrounding areas.


Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.


TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operate large excavators to dig, load trucks, trench, bulk excavate, and shape terrain according to project plans.
  • Read and follow grade stakes, cut/fill maps, and site plans to achieve required depths and slopes.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
  • Work closely with ground crews, dozer operators, and site supervisors to coordinate material movement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all site safety protocols.


REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong experience operating large excavators in massearthmoving environments.
    • Understanding soil types, trench safety, and excavation best practices.
    • Ability to work efficiently in highproduction settings.
    • Familiarity with GPS or machinecontrol systems.
    • Good communication skills and situational awareness.
    • Commitment to safety and equipment care.
