Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 25T safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements
  • Follow site-specific safety procedures and manufacturer operating guidelines
  • Perform excavation, trenching, grading and backfilling
  • Work closely with site supervision and ground crews to complete work safely and according to project specifications
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements
  • Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures
  • Adhere to all Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience operating 5T to 25T excavators in a construction or industrial environment
  • Finish grade experience is considered a strong asset
  • Can operate equipment with and without GPS preferred
  • Understanding of industrial site safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
  • Valid issued government photo Identification
  • Project-specific online orientations must be completed

Work Conditions

  • 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule
  • Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
  • Weekly payment of wages
  • Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
  • Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
