Job description

Salary:

Good Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning is hiring for an experienced Excavator/Plumber. This is a full-time year-round position with a primary focus on excavating responsibilities. Founded in 1949, the company has grown to over 60 employees. Servicing an extensive base of residential and commercial customers throughout the community, our company goal is to provide reliable knowledgeable, honest, and friendly service at a fair price. This role serves as a key member of our team.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • New excavations for sanitary, water, rain, gas
  • Excavation and repair for broken sewer lines and water lines, as well as locating well heads
  • Residential and Commercial environments, both exterior and interior
  • Concrete slab cutting, hammering, removal, restoration
  • Working with a plumbing installation or service team member to complete installations and repairs
  • 5 day work week with opportunity for extra hours and weekend work throughout the year
  • Typical work day is 9 hours. Paid overtime after 40 hours


Note:

When not excavating, there is year- round employment, assisting with plumbing system installation and repairs


Required Experience and Qualifications:


  • Operating JD30 / similar mini excavator
  • Operating Bobcat 418 / similar mini excavator
  • Operating skid loader
  • Hammer attachments
  • Walk behind concrete saw
  • Handheld concrete saw / cutoff saw for pipe
  • Dump Truck single axle non-CDL
  • Trailering Equipment
  • Maintaining Equipment
  • Drivers License - Medical Card Required
  • CDL license a plus but not required
  • Familiar with One-Call procedures and experience in digging around utilities
  • Eager to learn and work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
