Job description

Job Overview
DiBucci and Sons is hiring a Full-Time Excavator Operator with a valid Class A or B CDL (Concrete Laborer/Finisher experience is a plus) to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants steady work, strong pay, and a long-term opportunity with a company that values reliability and skill. You'll be involved in all aspects of concrete excavation operations, and responsible for operating company vehicles to transport materials safely between job sites.

Compensation and Growth

Starting pay: $30-$50/hour (based on experience)

  • Performance reviews at 3, 6, and 9 months
  • Negotiated bonus structure tied to performance and company success
  • Pay increases based on skill, reliability, and performance

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operate excavators for digging, trenching, grading, lifting, and material handling
  • Safely operate additional heavy equipment as needed
  • Load, transport, and unload materials to and from job sites
  • Perform daily equipment inspections before and after use
  • Assist with site prep, grading, backfilling, and general construction tasks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Follow all safety protocols and company standards
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew
  • Concrete knowledge (plus):
    • Form, pour, finish, and cure concrete for sidewalks, driveways, patios, steps, and retaining walls
    • Build and set wood or plastic forms
    • Mix, spread, and monitor concrete during the curing process

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL (required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Construction or concrete experience (required)
  • Strong work ethic and dependability
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate tools and machinery (required)
