Position Title: Advanced Learning Teacher (K-5)
Terms of Employment: 10 month position, 6.67 hours per day
Salary: Per the terms of REC Collective Bargaining Agreement

Job Summary:
The Advanced Learning Teacher provides specialized instruction and enrichment opportunities for students identified as advanced learners. This position is responsible for designing and delivering differentiated curriculum, fostering critical and creative thinking skills, and supporting students in reaching their full academic potential. The Advanced Learning Teacher collaborates with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to ensure advanced learners receive appropriate challenge and support within the educational program.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification/License:
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) registered in Region 06 West Cook with an elementary education endorsement appropriate for grades K-5.
  • Gifted Education Teacher Endorsement and experience serving advanced learners preferred.
