Job description


Initial 3-Month Contract with Potential for Full-Time Conversion

Medicilon is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to support our Pharmacology and Biology team, with a strong focus on in vitro and ex vivo assay development, flow cytometry, and immunology-based platforms. This role will support client-driven research programs in a fast-paced CRO environment and offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on scientist who can independently design and execute studies, troubleshoot complex assays, and communicate scientific findings clearly to both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Execution & Assay Development
  • Lead and execute in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology studies, including protocol design, assay execution, data analysis, and reporting
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot multicolor flow cytometry panels, including compensation, antibody titration, and gating strategies
  • Perform immune functional assays such as T cell activation, cytokine profiling, macrophage polarization, and proliferation assays
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets using FlowJo, FCS Express, or equivalent software
  • Support development and optimization of cell-based assays and protein analysis platforms
  • Maintain accurate experimental documentation using ELN systems
Client & Project Support
  • Support client-facing studies by contributing scientific input, troubleshooting, and data interpretation
  • Collaborate with project managers, study directors, and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations for internal and external discussions
Team & Platform Support
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff and supporting onboarding/training activities
  • Support continuous improvement of assay platforms, SOPs, and laboratory workflows
  • Contribute scientific ideas to expand pharmacology and biologics capabilities
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or related field preferred; MS or BS candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered
  • Strong hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry and immune-based assays
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting in vitro and/or ex vivo pharmacology assays
  • Proficiency with FlowJo or equivalent data analysis software
  • Experience with cytokine detection platforms such as ELISA, MSD, or Luminex preferred
  • Prior biotech, pharma, or CRO experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
