Position Summary
The EVV Lead Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Consumer Directed Services (CDS) staff, clients, employers, and attendants through leadership, training, operational oversight, and compliance support related to Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). This position serves as a subject matter expert for EVV systems, regulations, workflows, and compliance standards while partnering closely with the EVV Department Supervisor and management team to ensure efficient daily operations and continuous process improvement.
The EVV Lead Specialist provides guidance and education to internal and external stakeholders, monitors operational performance, supports quality assurance initiatives, and helps maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Support
- Support daily EVV department operations in partnership with the EVV Department Supervisor, Senior Specialists, and team members.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on EVV policies, procedures, systems, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate workflow changes, operational updates, and departmental priorities to staff and leadership.
- Assist in developing standardized processes, workflow documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review daily reports submitted by EVV Senior Specialists and address issues, corrections, or escalations as needed.
- Support quality control measures, auditing processes, and compliance monitoring activities.
Training & Communication
- Assist with the development, coordination, and delivery of EVV training and communications for clients, employers, employees, and CDS staff.
- Educate stakeholders regarding EVV responsibilities, compliance expectations, and system usage requirements.
- Provide individualized support and technical assistance related to EVV processes and troubleshooting.
- Communicate updates to EVV requirements, procedures, regulations, and training materials to internal staff.
- Attend EVV-related meetings, conferences, and training sessions as assigned.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Financial Management Services Agency (FMSA) standards, Texas Administrative Code (TAC), EVV requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
- Prepare, manage, and distribute production, synchronization, and operational reports in accordance with established deadlines.
- Oversee EVV synchronization processes across program options, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.
- Monitor EVV trends, identify operational and regulatory impacts, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with CDS policies and regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with departmental projects and special assignments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Limited evening or weekend work may be required to support operational needs.

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare administration experience required.
- Experience with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), healthcare compliance, or long-term services and supports preferred.
- Experience with databases, reporting systems, and spreadsheet software strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize agency-specific software platforms.
Technical Requirements
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with 80% accuracy.
- Excel proficiency with at least 80% accuracy.
- Strong computer and data management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding and operating office equipment.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms as necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Vision and hearing within normal functional parameters.
- Ability to move throughout the work environment as needed.
