Job Summary

As the Bilingual GMP JANITORIAL MANAGER, you are responsible for the overall management of the Janitorial Facility. You will manage the department within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures and remain in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. You will be financially accountable for the environmental service/janitorial department operating within the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value spent. In addition, you will be expected to foster strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the environmental service department with the facility's plan of operations.

Key Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is required
  • GMP Experience Required
  • Maintains an environment that is in a sanitary, attractive, and in orderly conditionย ย 
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departmentย ย 
  • Conducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activitiesย ย 
  • Maintains the department in an โ€œinspection readyโ€ state at all times, ensuring the department operates within federal, state, and local regulationsย ย 
  • Maintains excellent relations with residents, Client and all community departmentsย ย 
  • Serves on community committees and professional organizationsย ย 
  • Follows all Client and community policies and proceduresย ย 
  • Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire team and the department employees at all timesย ย 
  • Implements change to the environmental service program that enhances the desirability of the community for current and future residents.
  • Maintains appropriate security for all Client-owned property, supplies and operating fundsย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in related field is a plus
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification highly desirableย ย 
  • Minimum of five years of EVS/janitorial experience in a facility, warehouse, hospitial or hospitality environmentย 
  • Two plus years of direct EVS/janitorial operational management experienceย ย 
  • Excellent customer services skills and experiencesย ย 
  • Minimum of five years in leadership or managementย 
  • Experience with P&L accountability highly desirableย ย 
  • Contract-managed service experience is desirable
