Job description

Overview

This position assists Environmental Services team in maintaining a high quality standard of housekeeping service by performing daily cleaning/restocking patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices and other assigned areas in accordance with established procedures of the department and Helen Keller Hospital.  Aides are expected to display a courteous, friendly and professional attitude toward our customers at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Insures effective department operations by maintaining good attendance.
  • Start your day correctly in accordance with department policy and procedure.
  • Performs adequate share of workload as determined by EVS leadership.
  • Meets the organization housekeeping needs as indicated by the average monthly overall room score target.
  • End your day correctly in accordance with department policy and procedure.
Qualifications

Education:  HS/GED preferred.

Experience:  Previous experience in health care or public lodging facility experience preferred

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.  Must be willing to work in a team structured environment.  Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.  Must be able to work/manage a fast paced, stressful work environment.  Must be able to attend work regularly and promptly.
