Evidence technicians are professionals who collect, process, and preserve physical evidence from crime scenes. Their work involves photographing scenes, labeling and packaging evidence, maintaining chain of custody, and sometimes assisting with laboratory analysis. They play a crucial role in ensuring that evidence is properly handled and documented so it can be used in criminal investigations and court proceedings. Evidence technicians typically work for law enforcement agencies or forensic labs, and require attention to detail and knowledge of legal procedures.

Job Description

The Director, Solid Tumor Lead, International Market Access and Pricing (IMAP), leads international access and pricing strategy for AbbVie's solid tumor portfolio, including on-market assets such as Elahere and Teliso-V and near-term launches such as Temab-A in third-line colorectal cancer. Reporting to the VP Oncology IMAP, this leader translates clinical, payer, competitive, and policy insights into strategies that support reimbursement, patient access, and commercial success in priority international markets.

Profile: Seasoned market access leader with deep pharmaceutical experience and a strong record of leading international access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies. Brings strategic judgment, business acumen, executive communication skills, and the ability to influence in a matrixed global organization.

In this role, the leader is expected to convert broad portfolio strategy into asset-specific plans, cross-functional decisions, and market-level execution support.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall

  • Lead integrated access strategy across the solid tumor portfolio, embedding payer, pricing, reimbursement, evidence, policy, clinical, medical, regulatory, commercial, area, and affiliate perspectives into asset, launch, and lifecycle plans.
  • Own core international access deliverables, including value propositions, value dossiers, evidence priorities, payer materials, launch tools, and lifecycle plans.
  • Translate clinical, HEOR, pricing, reimbursement, competitive, and payer insights into recommendations for development, evidence generation, commercialization, long-range planning, and business development.
  • Advise headquarters and cross-functional partners on access conditions, evidence expectations, pricing dynamics, reimbursement risks, and patient access implications.
  • Drive launch readiness and execution through cross-functional alignment and leadership of Value and Access Teams for priority assets.
  • Lead direct and matrixed access, pricing, and HTA talent to coordinate, prioritize, and execute across solid tumor portfolio priorities.
  • Represent access in asset, brand, leadership, and external forums, shaping policy, HTA, and reimbursement environments that support sustainable patient access.
  • Manage projects, vendors, documentation, budgets, and compliance activities, prioritizing resources against high-impact access, evidence, and launch-readiness work.

Asset-specific responsibilities:

  • Lead access and pricing strategy for on-market assets, including Elahere lifecycle planning, payer value communication, evidence needs, affiliate support, and access optimization.
  • Drive Teliso-V access strategy, including Brazil Phase 2 launch support, evaluation of additional near-term opportunities, and planning for the broader Phase 3-based launch strategy.
  • Drive Temab-A access and pricing strategy as a near-term launch opportunity, with focus on third-line colorectal cancer and broader CRC, NSCLC, HNSCC, and PDAC development.
  • Develop indication-specific access strategies for current and future multi-indication assets, accounting for clinical value, competition, sequencing, payer evidence needs, pricing, and market access pathways.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement, payer strategy, commercial strategy, HEOR, pricing policy, or related areas, preferably with oncology and international exposure.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and align senior area, affiliate, and headquarters leaders across commercial, clinical development, HEOR, medical, regulatory, pricing, and market access partners.
  • Experience in US and/or global payer and access environments, ideally at global, regional, or key-market level.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific, clinical, or economic discipline.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in oncology and solid tumors.
  • Expertise in payer trends, pricing policies, governance, regulatory requirements, and healthcare systems in key global markets.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development and evidence needs for access decisions.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical skills, business acumen, and ability to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Exceptional presentation and writing skills.

Leadership competencies:

  • Builds strong cross-functional relationships that improve performance and execution.
  • Learns quickly, grasps complex issues, and adjusts direction as evidence, market dynamics, or priorities change.
  • Raises performance standards, seeks innovative solutions, and drives strong ideas to execution.
  • Creates a culture of learning, openness, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates executive presence and credibility with all organizational levels.
  • Works effectively under pressure, manages ambiguity, and prioritizes well.
