Job description

The Alaska Airlines Center (AAC) is recruiting temporary custodial staff! If you're interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to apply and join the AAC team.
The Porter will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the venue including the main floor, seating bowl, balcony, locker rooms, bathrooms, suites, etc. before, during, and after events.
This job requires reliability, punctuality, and regular assistance. Candidates must be able to work in a loud, fast-paced environment under varying conditions and be capable of lifting 50lbs. without assistance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset, are essential. The role also demands the ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for extended periods. Applicants should have an outgoing, friendly personality and be available to work hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety precautions and guidelines must be followed at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency. Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Position Details:
This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Salary Schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience.
