Job description

Our Mission

As humans, there are few things more exciting than meeting someone new. At Tinder, we're inspired by the challenge of keeping the magic of human connection alive. With tens of millions of users, hundreds of millions of downloads, 2+ billion swipes per day, 20+ million matches per day, and a presence in 190+ countries, our reach is expansive-and rapidly growing.

We work together to solve complex problems. Behind the simplicity of every match, we think deeply about human relationships, behavioral science, network economics, AI and ML, online and real-world safety, cultural nuances, loneliness, love, sex, and more.

Our Values
  • Take the Lead: We don't ghost our work or each other. Just as users don't leave their matches hanging, we don't let each other down.
  • Move Fast: We have a bias for action and urgency. Something that could be done tomorrow would be better if done today.
  • Better Together: We keep connection at the heart of dating and at the heart of how we work. Just as our users are better when they connect with others, so are we when we collaborate.
  • Real Talk: We say the hard thing the human way. Just as we ask our users to behave with kindness and candor in our community, we expect Team Tinder to do the same.
  • Safety First: We act with integrity, transparency, and consistency so people feel safe-whether they're swiping, matching, or working alongside us.
  • Spark Fun: We have fun to unlock creativity, fuel innovation, and help us build better experiences for daters.

The Role:

At Tinder we're investing in a new way for our users to spark something new with someone new: IRL events. Events break the dating app paradigm of swipe, match, chat- introducing discovery anchored to real-world experiences, surfacing the coolest events and places in every city with the ability to connect with who's in the room before, during, and after.

As Senior TPM, you will own the cross-functional operating model for this fast-paced team, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, BD, Partnerships, Event Ops, and Marketing leadership to bring clarity to ambiguity, structure to rapidly evolving plans and priorities, and deliver incredible user experiences at global scale.

Where You'll Work:
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
In this role, you will:
  • Own end-to-end delivery of the Events product roadmap, including in-app features and operational tooling (event management and publishing), tracking milestones, aligning dependencies, and mitigating risks across mobile, backend, and web engineering teams.
  • Act as the connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Partnerships, Marketing, BD, and Event Operations leads to drive cross-functional alignment on the product roadmap and major launches (new markets, new partners, new product experiences),  developing and overseeing project timelines to ensure on time delivery.
  • Define the operating model for the Events program, determining what rhythms, artifacts, and checkpoints teams actually need as the product scales.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues by coordinating with teams to determine solutions and prioritize tasks, while maintaining a high bar for both quality and velocity.
  • Provide clear, timely communications to the executive and senior leadership team on program health, including translating technical tradeoffs and delivery risks into recommendations that shape decisions, not just status updates.
You'll need:
  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, preferably supporting a live events, marketplace, event aggregation,  ticketing, or two-sided supply-and-demand product.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with both product/engineering teams and business teams (partnerships, BD, marketing), cultivating strong cross-functional relationships and influencing outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • An ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information, an entrepreneurial mindset, and persistent execution.
  • Proven ability to distill complex requirements from multiple stakeholders into actionable project plans. Experience building delivery plans, dependency maps, and risk registers for programs spanning multiple engineering platforms.
  • Proven ability to define and stand up an operating model for a 0-to-1 or rapidly scaling program, not just execute one that already exists.
  • Expert-level proficiency managing cross-functional projects using collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite, and Figma.
  • Strong track record managing multi-market or multi-region launches.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of software development best practices.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with international/localization go-to-market processes.
  • Experience integrating with or managing third-party supply partners via API-based licensing agreements (e.g., content or inventory feeds from external platforms).
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to automate routine program management tasks and accelerate cross-functional communication.
$160,000 - $175,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000.  Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
As a full-time employee, you'll enjoy:
  • Flexible Vacation, 10 Sick Days
  • Time off to volunteer and charitable donations matched up to $15,000 annually

  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage

  • 100% 401(k) employer match up to 10%, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)

  • 100% paid parental leave (including for non-birthing parents) and family forming benefits

  • Investment in your development: mentorship through our MentorMatch program, access to 6,000+ online courses through Udemy, and an annual $3,000 stipend for your professional development

  • Investment in your wellness: access to mental health support via Modern Health, paid concierge medical membership, pet insurance, fitness membership subsidy, and commuter subsidy

  • Free subscription to Tinder Gold
