Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for an Event Sales Coordinator. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast’s most vibrant, exciting areas.

The Event Sales Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a welcoming, vibrant club culture by planning and executing engaging member events, supporting clear communication, and collaborating on food and beverage offerings that enhance the member experience. This position serves as a connector between members, committees, and departments, ensuring a consistent, positive experience across all club facilities while supporting member satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities of the Event Sales Coordinator at Hope Valley Country Club include:

Member Engagement & Experience

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for members and guests across all club facilities

  • Organize and support all in-house member events, including mixers, tournaments, dining events, and social activities

  • Actively manage and respond to member feedback to enhance the overall club and dining experience

  • Support member retention efforts through thoughtful engagement and personalized interactions

Event Planning & Execution

  • Develop, plan, and execute in-house member events that build community and reflect member interests

  • Be present at member events to welcome attendees, assist with logistics, and serve as a club ambassador

  • Coordinate event details with internal teams to ensure seamless execution

Food & Beverage Development

  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team on menu development for member events, dining promotions, and special club functions
