ReedPop has an extensive stable of respected events, including New York Comic Con, the PAX events, EGX, MCM Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, C2E2 and over a dozen more.
About the Role
The Marketing Manager, PAX works closely with marketing and event teams to grow brand awareness, attendance, and long-term engagement across the PAX portfolio, including PAX West, PAX East, and PAX Unplugged. This role focuses on delivering integrated, data-informed campaigns that attract new audiences while deepening relationships with existing fans.
Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy, positioning, and key communications for the PAX games events portfolio in partnership with Event Managers and cross-functional teams
  • Lead and support the PAX marketing team, external PR partners, and contracted vendors
  • Plan and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns focused on attendee acquisition, retention, and engagement
  • Build and manage a year-round, multi-event marketing and communications calendar
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics and ROI, proactively sharing insights and progress
  • Collaborate with research partners to translate audience data into effective digital content
  • Oversee marketing budgets, invoicing, and cost centers across multiple events each year
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery across all marketing activities

Requirements
  • Demonstrate experience delivering marketing for consumer brands, events, or comparable audiences
  • Experience running targeted, high-return ad campaigns preferred
  • Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) or designing branded marketing assets with Canva
  • Possess strong copywriting, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Be experienced with social media marketing, digital advertising, brand positioning, and marketing analytics
  • Have practical knowledge of major social platforms and advertising tools, including Meta, Google, and TikTok
  • Demonstrate an organized, proactive approach with strong attention to detail and ownership of outcomes
  • Have the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines
  • Possess a collaborative mindset that values learning, feedback, and shared success
  • Be willing to travel domestically and internationally several times per year, including some weekends
