Job description

Position: Account Manager – Outside Sales

Edmonton AB and BC

Job Type: Full-time - REMOTE


We are seeking an experienced Account Manager – Outside Sales to support our expansion into Western Canada.

This role is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be confident in a client-facing sales role, comfortable discussing technical products and services, and able to provide a high level of customer support.

The Account Manager will educate customers on available products and services, provide product information, prepare quotes, deliver presentations, attend trade shows, and support customers with product use and maintenance. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in the office, on the road, and at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a well-established customer base in the HVAC and mechanical industry
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
  • Identify, prospect, and connect with new business opportunities
  • Provide customers with information on products, services, and enhancements
  • Train customers and their staff on the proper use and maintenance of products
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Forecast monthly sales and identify new business opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and customer presentations
  • Ensure strong customer satisfaction and follow up on feedback
  • Update customer databases and maintain accurate follow-up records
  • Negotiate with customers and ensure agreements are followed
  • Work with internal departments on proposals and marketing initiatives
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, sales functions, and industry events


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, industrial, or a related industry
  • Proven success in B2B sales, account management, customer service, or business development
  • Experience with cooling towers, humidification, portable air conditioning, or related products is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems in commercial or industrial buildings
  • Comfortable using MS Office, Salesforce, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Comfortable travelling throughout the Alberta area and the occasional travel into BC or Ontario.
  • Willingness to attend events or work outside regular business hours when required
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
