Job description

ZAK Events is seeking a motivated individual to join our team and be an Event Manager for our wedding planning division, Everlily Events, LLC. The Wedding Planner position requires you to work hand-in-hand with brides and private clients to create mood boards and visual images of various event details on a daily basis. Additional requirements include working with various vendors, obtaining quotes/estimates from vendors, researching new suppliers, working directly with bridal clients and providing a high level of quality service. This position requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook. The ideal candidate is able to multi-task, keep good organization of event details, and have a fascination with the weddings/event design/floral design industry. Must have an outgoing personality and convey a professional attitude with a variety of clientele.

Partial List of Responsibilities:

  • Create design/mood boards and look books from concept to completion on a daily basis
  • Work with the creative department on various unique designs and wedding set ups
  • Create combinations of floral centerpieces, arrangements, furniture vignettes and dining tablescapes
  • Work with the Production and Floral Departments to conceptualize various wedding themes and styles
  • Obtain and organize vendor quotes/estimates
  • Keep a well organized calendar of various tasks for clients
  • Perform sales functions to include marketing efforts, monthly newsletters, social media management, venue visits and attend various industry trade shows and meetings

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a professional design/planning position is preferred.
  • MUST be a team player and be able to work with a talented group of creative professionals
  • MUST have valid drivers license (Photo ID required)
  • MUST be available to work evenings, early mornings, weekends and some holidays
  • This position is based at our office in Oakland, New Jersey (Mon-Fri, 10:00am-5:00pm). No public transportation is available.
