Job Description
At Ultimo, events are strategic growth drivers that build brand awareness, create meaningful customer experiences, generate pipeline, and strengthen relationships across global markets.
As Global Events Manager, you will lead the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of Ultimo's event program across the UK, Europe, and North America. You will create impactful experiences that elevate the brand, engage target audiences, and support regional and global revenue goals.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational excellence. You will work across time zones as you collaborate with the Global Marketing Team to support events in our regions. You'll also partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, Design, Customer Marketing, and external vendors to ensure events deliver measurable business impact.
The ideal candidate brings experience managing large-scale B2B events and booth experiences, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is comfortable traveling internationally to support key events.
Key Responsibilities
Global Event Strategy & Planning
  • Reporting to the Head of Global Demand Generation, you will develop and own Ultimo's global event strategy aligned to pipeline generation, brand awareness, customer engagement, and regional growth goals.
  • Build and manage the annual global event calendar across the UK, Europe, and North America, supporting at least 8 tradeshows and 4 customer events per year, where timelines often overlap.
  • Evaluate event opportunities, sponsorships, trade shows, and executive events that align with our GTM and sales objectives for each region.
  • Bring creative activations to the events program, balancing trialling new techniques with time-tested approaches.
  • Manage global event budgets, forecasts, vendor negotiations, and spend tracking.

Large-Scale Event Execution & Customer Events
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of global trade shows, conferences, customer conferences.
  • Design engaging booth experiences and event environments that bring the Ultimo brand to life and create memorable audience interactions.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Marketing Manager to deliver engaging customer events that drive retention and expansion.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence across all event branding, messaging, signage, collateral, presentations, and attendee experiences.
  • Coordinate logistics including venues, vendors, shipping, registrations, staffing, travel, AV, production, and on-site operations.
  • Travel to key events to oversee execution, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless delivery on-site.

Sales Alignment & Pipeline Generation
  • Partner closely with regional Sales teams before, during, and after events to align on objectives, target accounts, meeting strategies, and follow-up expectations.
  • Partner with Regional Marketing, Sales, and Marketing Operations to drive post-event follow-up, nurture programs, and pipeline reporting.

Campaign & Content Activation
  • Oversee integrated event campaigns across email, social, paid media, content, and digital channels.
  • Work with Content and Design teams to develop event messaging, presentations, customer stories, promotional assets, and thought leadership content.
  • Use marketing automation and CRM platforms to support campaign execution, reporting, and lead management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Regional Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Leadership teams to ensure events support broader go-to-market priorities.
  • Collaborate with & onboard external agencies, production partners, booth suppliers, and event organizers to deliver high-quality experiences.

Performance & Optimization
  • Measure and analyze event performance, lead outcomes, and pipeline contribution, using insights to continuously improve future programs and attendee engagement.
  • Continuously test and improve messaging, formats, engagement tactics, and attendee experiences.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale B2B marketing events.
  • Proven experience managing global events in North America and Europe.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect event activity to pipeline generation and business outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience executing events from concept through post-event reporting and optimization.
  • Experience working closely with Sales teams to drive event engagement, lead follow-up, and pipeline conversion.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under pressure.
  • Experience managing vendors, agencies, sponsorships, and event production partners.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced international environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support key events.
