What you'll do
The Advisor, Events, Engagement & Fundraising plays a key role in supporting Jumpstart's high-impact events, fundraising initiatives, and donor stewardship activities. This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail oriented professional who excels at event coordination, relationship building, and delivering thoughtful engagement experiences.You will work closely with internal partners, community stakeholders, and donors to bring Jumpstart strategy to life and impact more children with life skills through sport.
Event Management & Execution
Support the planning and delivery of national and regional fundraising events, donor activations, and community engagement initiatives.
Coordinate logistics including venue selection, vendor management, attendee communications, staffing, and on-site execution.
Assist in developing event materials such as run-of-show documents, scripts, and briefing notes.
Track event budgets, invoices, timelines, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
Support fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship efforts (e.g., donor recognition, impact reporting, communications).
Assist in prospecting and supporting relationships with corporate partners, community groups, and individual donors.
Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, event participation, and stewardship activities.
Internal & External Collaboration
Liaise with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery and donor experiences.
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, and Communications teams on event messaging, branding, and engagement projects.
Coordinate volunteer involvement and briefing materials as needed.
Program & Administrative Support
Prepare post-event reports, metrics, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Support the creation of decks, proposals, and event collateral.
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, updates, purchases, vendor negotiations, orders, inventory and financial tracking.
What you bring
2–4 years of experience in events, fundraising, community engagement, or related fields (nonprofit experience is an asset).
Demonstrated experience supporting large scale events or fundraising initiatives.
Strong project coordination skills with an ability to manage timelines, logistics, and multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage comfortably with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
A proactive, collaborative team player with strong attention to detail.
Passion for sport, physical activity, and building more inclusive communities.
