Summary

The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of Chamber and community events and programs. This role

works closely with local businesses, community partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality events that support engagement, economic development, and

community connection.

Pay Range

$20-$24 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan,coordinate, and execute a variety of events including Chamber events, community events, and organizational programming
  • Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination to ensure successful execution
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align event goals and outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and government partners
  • Encourage participation, sponsorship, and collaboration in events and programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for event-related inquiries and partnerships
  • Evaluate event success using metrics such as attendance, stakeholder feedback, engagement, and return on investment
  • Prepare post-event reports and recommendations for future improvements

Event Promotion & Marketing

  • Develop marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance
  • Develop and coordinate social media campaigns, email marketing, and print materials
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective event messaging

Venue & Vendor Management

  • Research and secure venues appropriate for each event
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with venues, vendors, and service providers
  • Coordinate logistics including catering, equipment, signage, and other event needs

Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets
  • Track expenses and ensure events are delivered in a cost-effective manner
  • Identify opportunities to maximize resources while maintaining event quality

Other duties

  • Assist with design and development of Chamber member and marketing materials
  • Assist with front desk coverage, including greeting visitors and answering phones, as needed
  • Assist with a variety of projects and responsibilities to support the efficient operation of the Chamber and the successful delivery of its programs and services

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or related role preferred
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign)
  • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of Microsoft Teams  

Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance and reliable transportation to travel to various event locations, meetings. Mileage reimbursement

provided 

Work Environment

  • Occasional evening and weekend work required for events
  • Combination of office work and on-site event coordination
