Position Information
Job Title Event Staff - Baxter Arena - Part-Time Department Arena Operations Essential Functions
Join our team and help make events special for our guests! We are hiring for Event Staff positions to work exciting live events, concerts, and athletic games at Baxter Arena.
These are on-call, flexible positions. The amount of work available will vary from week to week, so schedules cannot be guaranteed. However, staff enjoy the flexibility to pick up and choose shifts based on their availability using our scheduling website or phone app.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Our Event Staff team encompasses multiple roles-including Ushers, Ticket Takers, Concierges, and Crowd Control-to ensure every visitor has a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience.
  • Guest Services (Ushers, Ticket Takers, & Concierges): Provide top-notch customer service by greeting guests, scanning and checking tickets at standard and premium seating areas, issuing corresponding wristbands, and helping guests locate their assigned seats. Direct guests around the facility and respond quickly in case of emergencies.
  • Crowd Control: Keep guests and staff safe by securing areas of the arena, managing metal detectors and bag checks at entrances, guarding the stage during concerts, overseeing crowd movements, and protecting facility property.

  • General Duties: Learn the layout of Baxter Arena to provide accurate directions and answer questions. Assist with section clean-up during occasional back-to-back events, report any facility or maintenance issues to the appropriate staff, and perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be 18 years of age or older for Crowd Control.
