Summary
An Event & Traffic Security Officer works directly with the Victory onsite Security Department to assist with patrols and traffic control.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directs traffic and provides traffic control at crosswalks on city streets to prevent congestion and expedite safe and orderly movement of traffic.
  • Directs traffic and provides traffic control for Victory Christian Center's services, special events, and other incidents where traffic management is required.
  • Assists security officers with traffic control at Victory Christian Center's parking lots.
  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations. Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.

  • High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's in Police Science or related field preferred.
  • One (1) year proven work experience as a Police Officer.
  • Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Sound judgement
  • Knowledge and skills of law enforcement principles and practices Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Flexible hours for availability (including evenings and weekends).
  • Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image.
