Event Sales Assistants are professionals who support the sales team by helping to promote and sell event spaces or services. They are responsible for assisting with client inquiries, preparing proposals, coordinating event details, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and the event management team. Their goal is to help secure bookings, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall success of events. This role often involves administrative tasks, follow-up with clients, and collaborating with other departments to ensure client needs are met.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an event sales assistant?

Job description

About Gold Standard Promotions

Gold Standard Promotions is a Las Vegas-based event marketing and fundraising company that works with nationally recognized nonprofit organizations.

Our team represents nonprofit partners at established retail locations, community events, and promotional campaigns throughout the Las Vegas area. Through face-to-face conversations, our representatives educate the public about each organization’s mission and enroll individuals who choose to become ongoing donors.

This is a full-time, W-2, in-person position with paid training. It is not remote, door-to-door, or an independent contractor opportunity.

Position Overview

As an Entry-Level Event Sales Representative, you’ll work at scheduled retail and event locations throughout the Las Vegas area representing one of our nonprofit partners.

Your primary responsibility is simple: start conversations, explain the nonprofit’s mission and current initiatives, answer questions, and help interested individuals complete the donor enrollment process.

No previous fundraising experience is required. New representatives receive hands-on training in nonprofit campaign knowledge, public engagement, communication, donor acquisition, and professional sales skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent nonprofit organizations at scheduled retail and community event locations
  • Approach and engage members of the public in face-to-face conversations
  • Explain nonprofit programs, initiatives, and community impact
  • Answer questions accurately and professionally
  • Enroll individuals interested in becoming recurring donors
  • Follow campaign guidelines and donor enrollment procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of individual campaign results
  • Participate in daily training and campaign meetings
  • Work alongside other representatives to achieve campaign goals
  • Maintain professional standards while representing our nonprofit partners

Compensation

This position includes:

  • Daily base fee
  • Commission based on completed donor acquisitions
  • Performance bonuses
  • Weekly pay
  • Typical first-year earnings of $35,000–$55,000

Compensation is performance-based, so total earnings vary by individual results.

Training & Professional Development

We provide structured, hands-on training beginning on your first day.

Training includes:

  • Nonprofit campaign education
  • Face-to-face communication
  • Donor acquisition and fundraising
  • Customer engagement
  • Sales fundamentals
  • Goal setting and performance tracking
  • Leadership and team development for employees interested in advancement

Employees who consistently demonstrate strong performance, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to support others may be considered for additional leadership responsibilities.

Advancement Opportunities

Gold Standard Promotions provides opportunities for employees interested in developing beyond the representative position.

Our internal career path includes:

Event Sales Representative → Team Leader → Assistant Manager → Managing Director

Advancement is based on demonstrated job performance, leadership ability, reliability, and business needs. Employees are not required to recruit friends, family members, or personal contacts to participate in the company or qualify for compensation.

  • Professional and dependable
  • Positive attitude and willingness to receive coaching
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable results
  • Reliable transportation
  • Full-time availability
  • Ability to commute to Las Vegas, NV 89119

Previous experience in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, or fundraising is helpful but not required.

What We Offer

  • W-2 employment

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees after 30 days
