Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 Annually + Commission

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a young, motivated, energetic, and hungry-for-growth sales professional who is willing to call and is ready to work towards growth and innovation in the Insurance Brokerage & Advisory industry.

About the job:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Executive with a valid California Insurance Broker License to drive B2B sales across commercial and healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage consultative selling skills, industry knowledge, and strong relationship-building capabilities to grow revenue and enhance client retention.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with business clients, healthcare organizations, and broker partners across California.

  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate insurance solutions, including property, casualty, professional liability, and employee benefits.

  • Collaborate with internal underwriting, risk management, and account management teams to structure tailored policies.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal creation to closing and onboarding.

  • Maintain compliance with California Department of Insurance regulations and company policies.

  • Represent Locus Insurance Services at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

  • Provide ongoing client support to ensure satisfaction, retention, and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Insurance Broker License (required)

  • Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or risk management

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including healthcare, professional liability, and employee benefits

  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
