Who You'll Work With:

This role is within the Global Strategic Initiatives Team, the business operations team supporting AB's Global Institutional and Offshore Retail Distribution teams within the Global Client Group. You will work with global sales leadership, client service, operations, legal and compliance, and central risk teams.

We are seeking a Nashville-based Risk Officer to join our Institutional Investment Management Operations and Risk Team (IIM Ops/Risk). This role will play an integral part in mitigating risks within the Client Group and managing risk-related projects to ensure positive outcomes for our clients around the world. To be successful, the risk officer must collaborate with teams across the firm - Operations, Investments, and Compliance, to address new risks facing the industry, and advocate on behalf of our clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the operational risk framework for the Client Group.

  • Partner with Client Group Operational Excellence lead to implement risk-elated systems and process enhancements.

  • Partner with senior leaders around the Client Group to identify opportunities to mitigate risk

  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track the health of key operational processes and risk remediations.

  • Champion and steer enterprise risk management initiatives on behalf of the Client Group

  • Produce risk and control reporting and track risk items.

  • Coordinate risk event inquiries on behalf of our clients

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideally 2-5 years of audit or risk management experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in math, finance, or accounting, with academic excellence

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to explain complex information in an easily digestible manner

  • Highly analytical mind with a strong attention to detail

  • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with a minimum amount of oversight

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, SharePoint, OneNote)

  • GARP or PRMIA Certifications are a plus but not required.
