The Yard Associate supports the daily operations of the yard and warehouse, assisting with the safe and efficient movement, preparation, and organization of Spacecube gear, structures, and related hardware. This hands-on role works directly under the Yard Manager to ensure outbound and inbound project loads are accurate, clean, and ready for deployment. The Yard Associate plays a key part in maintaining a clean and safe workspace and contributes to a team culture focused on readiness, accountability, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Yard Operations

  • Assist in pulling, staging, and loading Spacecube gear, hardware, and structural components onto trucks for project deployment.
  • Receive, unload, clean, and organize returned equipment and materials.
  • Support prep of gear and consumables for upcoming events, ensuring all items meet company quality standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment under the direction of the Yard Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Inventory & Consumable Support

  • Track movement of gear and consumables using internal systems and checklists.
  • Report missing, damaged, or incomplete items to the Yard Manager.
  • Refill and restock consumables (bolts, rigging, adhesives, etc.) as needed for field readiness.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory efforts.

Safety & Cleanliness

  • Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in daily safety talks and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, trash removal, and staging area resets.
  • Conduct basic inspections of equipment and gear before and after use.

Team Collaboration

  • Take direction from Yard Manager and support team members to complete shared tasks.
  • Communicate effectively regarding job progress, challenges, or delays.
  • Provide labor support for yard moves, special projects, or facility improvements as directed.

Compensation: $18.50-$23.50 Hourly

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in warehouse, yard, or construction-related work preferred.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
  • Familiarity with basic tools, rigging, or staging gear a plus.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified required.
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
