Job description

Position Overview

The Warehouse Hoist Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and basic repair of electric chain hoists used in entertainment rigging. This role ensures that all hoists are tested, compliant with safety standards, and ready for deployment. The technician will also support general warehouse operations, including gear prep, equipment tracking, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

General Tasks / Duties

Below is a general list of the tasks and duties:

  • Inspect, clean, test, and perform minor maintenance on electric chain hoists (e.g., CM Lodestar, Liftket, etc.)
  • Document inspection and maintenance records in accordance with company and industry safety standards
  • Identify hoists requiring repair or full servicing and properly tag for evaluation
  • Perform basic tasks such as wiring, chain replacement, brake checks, and limit switch calibration
  • Grease, coil, and store hoists properly to maintain operational integrity
  • Paint or touch up hoist exteriors as needed
  • Assist in pulling, staging, and prepping gear for outgoing orders
  • Maintain inventory of hoists, controllers, cables, and accessories
  • Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
  • Communicate clearly with the department lead regarding repair status and scheduling
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as needed
  • Indoor warehouse environment
  • May involve use of forklifts, ladders, and basic hand tools
  • Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection) as required

Qualification and Experience
