Job description

Internship Overview
As a Communications and Event Planning Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will be part of a fast-paced environment that will provide you with experience in working with event planning, internal communication, developing marketing materials, and more. The position will be based at our Alden, Iowa headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to event planning, promotion, logistics and post-event review of internal and external events.
  • Assist with managing food/meal prep, set-up and tear-down for events.
  • Procure and organize supplies for events
  • Maintain up-to-date event documents and schedules.
  • Design event invitations, refine mailing lists and update addresses, and prepare mailings.
  • Develop video and photo content for company needs.
  • Produce bi-weekly company newsletter
  • Update and improve marketing materials for company positions.
  • Assist with intern specific events and communication.
  • Exposure to several different Human Resources duties.
  • Deliver a final presentation to Summit's management team.

Requirements
  • Proficient using the latest versions of email and web searches.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and proof-reading skills.
  • Strong customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Canva with experience in Lightroom, Priemer Pro, Photoshop.
