Overview
Are you a hospitality events leader who knows what it takes to turn great events into great business?
Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking a Corporate Manager of Event Sales & Planning to help elevate event sales, planning, and execution across our diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned events professional to make an impact beyond a single property - partnering with teams across the portfolio to drive revenue, strengthen processes, elevate the guest experience, and share best practices that make events exceptional.
As a corporate subject matter expert, you'll work closely with property-level teams and leaders across Sales, Operations, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Revenue Management, and Finance. From optimizing event space and pricing strategies to coaching teams and improving planning processes, you'll help properties turn opportunities into results.
This role is ideal for a strategic, highly collaborative hospitality professional who enjoys building relationships, solving challenges, and bringing innovative ideas to properties across the portfolio.
This position requires approximately 50% travel to support property visits, training, business reviews, implementation initiatives, and event sales and planning strategies.
What You'll Do
  • Drive event sales and revenue strategies across the portfolio, identifying opportunities to maximize event space, pricing, upselling, and overall profitability.
  • Partner with property teams to strengthen the full event lifecycle - from sales and planning through execution - while improving consistency and the guest experience.
  • Develop and share event sales and planning best practices, tools, SOPs, and standards across the portfolio.
  • Coach, train, and support property-level Event Sales and Planning leaders, identifying opportunities to improve performance and develop talent.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Revenue Management, and Finance to optimize event performance and profitability.
  • Support menu development, pricing, cost controls, competitive analysis, and other initiatives that drive revenue and margins.
  • Evaluate event technology, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Serve as a corporate subject matter expert and trusted resource for complex events, operational challenges, and property-level initiatives.
  • Travel approximately 50% to properties for training, business reviews, implementation, and event sales and planning support.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel event sales, event planning, convention sales, catering, or banquet operations.
  • Director-level experience in Event Planning, Convention Sales, or Catering preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the event sales and planning lifecycle, group business, and banquet operations.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue, optimize pricing, and improve event profitability.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with event sales and catering systems; Delphi experience preferred.
  • Marriott and/or Hyatt systems experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with property and corporate teams and influence across multiple departments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%.
Why Join Us?
This is more than a corporate support role - it's an opportunity to influence how events are sold, planned, and executed across an entire hospitality portfolio.
You'll have the opportunity to work with talented hospitality professionals across multiple markets, share best practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and help properties achieve stronger financial and guest experience results.
If you're an experienced events leader ready to take your expertise beyond one property and make a portfolio-wide impact, we'd love to hear from you.
