Role Overview

The Events Marketing Specialist will report to the Global Marketing Events leader and will be a key contributor to our event marketing team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the growth marketing team, content creators, and other stakeholders to ensure we achieve event objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with our growth marketing resources to manage event registrations and attendance, coordinating with the event planners to ensure marketing efforts align with the wider events strategy and timelines.
  • Logistics & Planning: Spearhead site selection, coordinate room layouts, arrange audioโ€‘visual (AV) setups, and manage catering and transportation.
  • Onโ€‘Site Execution: Act as a point of contact during the event to troubleshoot issues, guide staff, and ensure a welcoming guest experience.
  • Post-Event Analytics: Collect attendee feedback, analyze event metrics (e.g., lead generation, cost-per-participant), and draft performance reports.
  • Manage eventโ€‘specific websites or landing pages, ensuring they are optimized for conversions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelorโ€™s degree in hospitality, public relations, business, or marketing.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in event planning, project management, or corporate marketing.
  • Familiarity with event management platforms like Cvent, or similar tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to track campaign metrics, analyze data, and use the results to inform marketing event strategies
  • Robust time management and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of budget management and ability to allocate resources effectively
  • Ability to travel 35-50% of the time to events

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $90,000. The salary range reflects a goodโ€‘faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performanceโ€‘based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
