Job description

Position Summary
Event Operations Staff members support the successful execution of sporting events, tournaments, competitions, and special events. This position is ideal for dependable, energetic individuals who enjoy events, sports, hospitality, guest service, and working in a fast-paced event environment.
Event Operations Staff are responsible for assisting with event setup, guest check-in, crowd flow, information support, competition area operations, hospitality support, equipment movement, and post-event breakdown. This role-plays a key part in creating a smooth, professional, and positive experience for athletes, coaches, officials, event organizers, spectators, sponsors, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown before, during, and after sporting events.
  • Set up tables, chairs, signage, barricades, registration areas, hospitality areas, equipment, and other event materials.
  • Support guest check-in, ticketing, credentialing, registration, wristband distribution, and information tables.
  • Greet guests, answer basic questions, provide directions, and help create a welcoming event environment.
  • Assist athletes, coaches, officials, vendors, spectators, and event partners as needed.
  • Help monitor assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, organization, and proper guest flow.
  • Report maintenance, safety, guest service, or operational concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist with competition support, including staging areas, awards areas, team check-in, warm-up areas and event transitions.
  • Help with parking, entrance flow, crowd control, hospitality areas, merchandise areas, or sponsor activations as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout the event.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by event leadership or operations supervisors.

Qualifications
  • Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to follow instructions. Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with guests, athletes, coaches, staff, officials, and event organizers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional during busy event periods.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and early mornings based on event needs.

Pay Range
  • The Hiring Rage is between $15.00-$18.00 based on Experience.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in events, sports, hospitality, guest services, concessions, retail, security, recreation, or customer service.
  • Interest in athletics, live events, facility operations, or sports/event management.
  • Experience using radios, scanners, registration systems, ticketing systems, or basic event equipment.

Schedule
  • Event Operations Staff positions are event-based and scheduled according to the
  • facility's event calendar. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends,
  • holidays, and extended event days.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the event day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry event materials or equipment as needed up to and exceeding 50lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in indoor and outdoor event environments.
