Job description

ABOUT NXT SPORTSThe mission of NXT (a lacrosse brand of 3STEP Sports) is to create the most innovative education programs and execute industry leading events at exception venues. NXT delivers superior participant experiences across its entire portfolio of brands.
Job DescriptionAs an NXT Events Intern, you will assist the team with the daily operational tasks to plan, prepare, and execute our fall events and programs. Areas of responsibility include:
  • Internal Operations: Assist Internal Operations Managers with event staffing and submission of payroll requests, pre-event communications, catering orders, travel coordination, preparation of recruiting materials, etc.
  • External Operations: Assist External Operations Managers with inventory and management of all equipment and apparel, coordination of rental equipment and vehicles, equipment repair & replacement, packing/unpacking event vehicles, etc.
  • On-site Operations: Event Set Up/Breakdown, Assist Tournament Directors with various tasks throughout tournament including staff check in, running the central clock, preparing/delivering staff meals, disbursing equipment as needed, customer service, troubleshooting issue, etc.
    All available internship opportunities can be full time or part time positions running from October to the end of November.

Qualifications
Preferred candidates are current college students or recent graduates with a strong background in sports management, event planning or coaching. Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with a strong work ethic, a desire to succeed and a passion for sports. Applicants must have lodging in the Philadelphia area with access to transportation. Lacrosse experience is not necessary but highly valued. Some duties are physically demanding, and applicants must be able to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs. or more). Must be able to stand on your feet for 8+ hours at a time. Applicants must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Compensation/Hours
Hourly wage depends upon experience (plus overtime)
  • Monday-Thursday: Office hours approx. 9AM-5PM (Hours vary depending on needs and student schedules)
  • Friday-Sunday: On-site at tournament
