Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday (closed most Tuesdays), days and evenings - Holidays, as needed

At Brimacombe ski area we don't just offer skiing and snowboarding, we offer a place for all ages to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and create memorable family experiences! You will take a lead role in creating unforgettable customer experiences, as well as defining the culture of our team. As the Communication & Events Coordinator, you will assist the Marketing & Communications Manager with implementing the marketing plan at Brimacombe through advertising, promotional activities/events on and off-site, as well as internal and external communications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the marketing plan for Brimacombe through creative promotion and publicity initiatives
  • Assist the Marketing & Communications Manager with the coordination of all activities including digital marketing, communications, social media, advertising and off-and-on-site events
  • Oversee community relations and donations fulfillment
  • Responsible for seeking out and applying for relevant off-site promotional event opportunities including submitting all required components for application
  • Coordinate all event activities including packing, assisting with scheduling street team, vendor communication, as well as attending and overseeing all event operations
  • Create and share social media posts and website content, such as blog posts, in line with Brimacombe digital advertising guidelines and strategy
  • Produce copy and edit marketing collateral
  • Conduct market research and surveys, as required
  • Be a role model by demonstrating exceptional customer service, ensuring positive guest interactions and experiences online and on-site
  • Ready to take on any challenges or help other team members/departments when needed


Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, event management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, X, and Instagram
  • Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Provide completion of Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps certificate from the Ministry of Labour, prior to the first day of work
  • Previous experience in customer service, leadership and/or supervisor role preffered
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • Able to multitask and show attention to detail
  • Professional, energetic, outgoing and dependable team player
  • Attend all training provided by Brimacombe related to the position
